Jakarta, Indonesia (News Today) - Kuwait Petroleum International Co., a unit of state-run Kuwait Petroleum Corp., has signed a memorandum of understanding with Pertamina to conduct studies for a refinery in Indonesia.
“The parties will jointly carry out a pre-feasibility and feasibility study for an investment opportunity in Indonesia for the proposed new Balongan refinery with a capacity of 200,000 to 300,000 barrels per day,“ the companies said in a joint statement Friday.
The new refinery will be located in West Java province on the main island of Java and will be integrated with a petrochemical complex, said the statement.
