Jakarta, Indonesia (News Today) - Indonesian Commission for Child Protection (KPAI) urged Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) to take a strict measure on celebrities porn videos that are getting more inevitable and forcing police to take an immediate action over the case. KPAI also urged MUI to call for a haram fatwa over porn videos allegedly starred by the celebrities and easily accessed by children.
"As far as I recall, MUI declared the fatwa over pornography in 2001 but we have scarcely found the strict measure lately," said the chief of KPAI, Hadi Supeno at MUI office in Jakarta, July 6, 2010. On the eve of MUI's national work conference, KPAI proposed MUI to include pornography cases in Indonesia as its agenda.
Hadi stressed pornography as a very serious issue as it causes addiction and stimulates children to copy what the celebrities did on the scenes. "Just imagine, 50 percent of boys want to take them as their role models, while the number reaches 35 percent on girls," stated him.
