Bargain-Buying Boosts Indonesian Shares

Jakarta (News Today) - Indonesian shares higher on bargain-buying with foreigners picking up recently battered coal, automotive, bank shares, dealers say. Main index +0.7% at 2933.67 in thin trade, market breadth positive with 66 gainers vs 50 decliners.

“I think the market can maintain its gains for the rest of the day,“ says IndoPremiere Securities' analyst Dang Maulida. Besides that, foreigners net buyers of IDR96.3 billion worth of local stocks so far today.

Astra International (ASII.JK) +0.4% at IDR48,300, Bank Mandiri (BMRI.JK) +1.7% at IDR5,900, Bumi (BUMI.JK) +0.5% at IDR1,900, and Adaro (ADRO.JK) +0.5% at IDR2,000. OSK-DMG tips 2891.43-2935.16 range for main index today.
