Inul Called "Ratu Gelek" in Malaysia

Tawau (News Today) - The Kalabakan Wanita Umno wants Indonesian "ratu gelek" (drill dance queen) Ainul Rokhimah or Inul be banned from performing in Tawau.

Its chief, Datuk Hamisa Samat, said to that effect, the movement urged the relevant authorities, like the police and the Tawau Municipal Council, to cancel the concert by the artist which was scheduled on May 29 at the Tawau Sport Complex.

She said that by allowing such a concert, it could contribute to moral decadence among youngsters.

"We are made to understand that preparations are being made to bring the Indonesian drill dance queen, Inul, to Tawau on May 29, she said at a function hosted by the movement here Saturday.

Last Friday, several non-governmental organisations and political parties staged a demonstration at the Al-Khauthar Mosque to protest against the concert and call for the authorities to ban the artist from performing in Tawau.
