The activity has been started at 2:00 am following PTNNT's involvement in several days of discussions and meetings with the Directorate General of Minerals and Coal as its principal under the Contract of Work; and also with other government stakeholders.
Based on the guidance from the Directorate General of Minerals and Coal, PTNNT has clearly confirmed that its concentrate shipment procedure already complies with all relevant regulations after it was ordered by the West Sumbawa Government to stop its ship loading activity at its Benete Port facility on Jan.13.
“PTNNT thanks local, regional and central government for their advice and assistance in ensuring that normal concentrate shipments can resume at PTNNT,” said David Lilley, General Manager of Operations PTNNT.
“We hope that we can now go forward continuing to operate in a safe, responsible and efficient manner, so that we can maximize the value and benefit that PTNNT generates for governments, communities, employees and all of our stakeholders.”
