Peter Daniel Green "The Australian Role in Final Round of AFF Cup"




Jakarta, Indonesia (News Today) - Australian referee Peter Daniel Green will lead the final match between Indonesia and Malaysia of the ASEAN Football Federation Suzuki Cup 2010 here on Wednesday, ANTARA learned. The assistant referee meanwhile is Preecha K and U Augn Moe from Thailand, it learned from the All Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) here on Tuesday.

The reserve referee meanwhile is Chaiya Alee Mahabap also from Thailand. Japanese Toma Masaaki led the first leg of the final round between the two countries’ national teams in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday where Indonesia lost 0-3.

The Jakarta Metropolitan Police meanwhile has prepared 6,000 personnel to assure smooth final rounds. Jakarta police chief of operations Senior Commissioner Sudjarno said to newsmen here on Tuesday that security priority would be given to VVIP guests, players, officials and the referee.

He said tight checks would be made on spectators while they also banned firecrackers, laser pointers, sharp weapons or firearms being brought into the stadium. During the match the ring roads around the Bung Karno stadium would be barred for any kinds of motor vehicles especially those authorized.

To anticipate those who failed to get tickets, he said he had asked the committee to set up large screen television sets in certain points around the stadium. The gates to the stadium will be opened at 3pm or four hours before the match begins.

The Bung Karno has a capacity of around 80,000 people. Among those who will attend the match are President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono. Tens of thousands of people are expected to come to the stadium to watch the game on Wednesday.
