Chevrolet Car Sales Predicted to Increase in Sulawesi

Makasar, Indonesia (News Today) - The sales of Chevrolet cars in South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi, this year had been predicted to increase 37 percent compared to last year’s.

Sales Manager of PT Panaikang Inti Sejahtera, Usman Gading, said in Makassar Tuesday that last year the number of the cars sold reached only 290 units. This year, he said, the Chevrolet car sales in the three provinces had been predicted to reach 399 units.

"Up till now, the sales of the cars in the three provinces had reached 63 percent of the prediction," he said.

He said he was also optimistic that the Chevrolet car sales may reach 399 units by the end of this year, considering the vast area of the operation of PT Panaikang Inti Sejahtera.

Of the total number of the cars that had been sold, Chevrolet of Captiva-type which had become most sought by the consumers, with the sales percentage reaching 60 percent. He also said that in the last two years, the sales target had never been reached, reaching only 75 to 80 percent.

"The vast market was only one of the factors supporting the increase in the sales this year," he said.
