Jakarta - Indonesia is the goal of the series of World Cup Trophy Tour. The arrival of the supreme symbol of football supremacy is expected to be able to improve the performance of football country.
It is expressed by Andi Mallarangeng Menegpora who came in a press conference the World Cup trophy at the Hotel Mulia Senayan, Monday (25/1/2010) afternoon WIB. Brenda appeared with the Chairman of PSSI, Nurdin Halid.
"I expect the World Cup trophy coming to Jakarta can be the inspiration for improving achievement in Indonesian football," said Andi told reporters.
Andi also advised that Indonesia not only be a stop off tropinya country only. He wants to one day 'Red and White Army' could compete in the World Cup through hard work and struggle of the players.
"The first step in that Indonesia should be able to qualify for the World Cup to lift our names in the international community," said Andi. "And it is better achieved through struggle and sweat. Gratitude, gratitude can be. Seize the World Cup," he continued.
As mentioned about the government's support for Indonesia's candidacy to host the 2022 World Cup, Andi stressed the need to build a good coaching system before carrying the desire to host the World Cup.
PSSI has yet to receive support from the government, as required by FIFA. And the world football authority gave a deadline until next February 9,
