Delhi - Indian authorities increasingly beefed up security at airports of the country. Domestic airlines were warned to be more vigilant. This is because there is the possibility of aircraft hijacking attempt by militant groups!
The warning comes from the report Bandan Western intelligence agencies. So informed the Indian news agency, Press Trust of India and reported by AFP, Jumat (22/1/2010).
"We have intelligence inputs that can happen India aircraft piracy efforts," said UK Bansal, a senior official of India Ministry of Home Affairs.
"So we have to remind the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Civil Aviation Security Bureau and improve security at all airports in this country," he added.
Reminded that the flights Air India's government and other private airlines could be the target groups allied with al-Qaeda network or the rebel group Lashkar-e-Taiba, based in Pakistan.
Even reminded that the flight from India or who come from neighboring countries of India, like Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal or Sri Lanka is a specific target.
