Jakarta, Indonesia (News Today) - The rupiah remained stable against the US dollar in the Jakarta interbank spot market here Friday morning as investors were cautious of entering the domestic money market.
The Indonesian currency traded Rp8,940-Rp8,950 per US dollar, down five points from Rp8,935-Rp8,945 per US dollar at the market’s close a day earlier.
The local unit was indirectly affected by the Wall Street and Japanese stock losses following reports on unemployment rate rise.
