Tanggerang, Indonesia (News Today) - PT Wijaya Karya Tbk in association with PT Jasa Marga Tbk will temporarily divert traffic on the Jakarta-Tangerang toll road due to the construction of the Lippo Karawaci flyover.
"The traffic diversion will be carried out at kilometer-21 from 10 pm on Tuesday to Wednesday at 4 am," head of the Lippo Karawaci flyover project Iskandar Purba said in Jakarta Monday.
He said traffic from Jakarta to Merak will be diverted to the Merak-Jakarta lane, and only after passing the site of the project traffic will be restored to the original lane. In addition, for the Merak-Jakarta traffic, a concrete divider will be built as some of the road will be used for the Jakarta-Merak traffic, he said.
He also reminded motorists passing kilomter-21 to drive carefully and reduce speed. He added that the flyover project has entered its PCI girder erection stage and the project will be handed over following completion to PT Jasa Marga Tbk.
Lippo hoped that the project will facilitate people living in Lippo Karawaci to go to Jakarta. Lippo Karawaci has expanded considerably not only as a residential area, but as a business and educational center as well.
