msg your say: Blaming Boediono and Sri Mulyani

(News Terupdate) - I think President SBY needn’t have been so worried about the Bank Century bailout inquiry.
The House can only make recommendations and so far the inquiry committee doesn’t have any solid proof to show Vice President Boediono and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani received any benefit in return for their decision to bail out Bank Century.
The fact that the Democratic Party has 26 percent of the House seats means that any effort to unseat him or Pak Boediono will bear no fruit.

It is obvious that the inquiry team is trying to justify their presence by showing that they know better and they can do better: Better than all the legal and investigative institutions (the KPK, the police) in revealing the truth surrounding the Bank Century case.
I suggest that they look at the man in the mirror, and ask themselves: “Am I serving my country, or am I serving my party/my own interests?”
Blaming Boediono and Sri Mulyani is unfortunately the easiest tactic used by this inquiry team in order to justify their presence to the country. Unfortunately, such tactics will, in the end, hurt the country.
It is like somebody shooting their own foot. Both Boediono and Sri Mulyani are regarded highly by the international community as the guardians of the Indonesian economy, proved by the very strong fundamental progress in the last five years.
In Sri Mulyani’s case, it is obvious that Indonesia needs her more than she needs Indonesia.
Why would she jeopardize her international credibility by benefiting certain people or parties in the Bank Century case?
Instead of getting trapped into easy tactics and dirty politics by blaming Boediono and Sri Mulyani, the inquiry team has ample opportunity to prove they are not living in a cocoon, that they are worthy of being excellent statesmen/stateswomen ready to take this country higher.
The inquiry team should not bow to pressure from the street and they should show their intelligence and wisdom, since what they are going to announce in the final conclusion will be watched closely by the international community.
They could be highly honored by the international community, or the inquiry team could become a laughing stock (in which case they will do an injustice to the country), depending on their final verdict.
So in the end, the message to the inquiry team: “Wake up, ask yourselves honestly whether you are really serving the people or you are dwarfing yourself by aligning to your parties’ interests.” And, the message to Boediono and Sri Mulyani: “Relax, the silent majority is behind
you, we believe in your integrity, and that is what matters. The inquiry team is just full of political interests, not necessarily representing this country.”
