(News Terupdate) - A 5-magnitude earthquake that shook Bengkulu at 6:47 a.m. on Tuesday sent residents running out of their houses in panic, but there were no reports of casualties or damage.
News portal tempointeraktif.com reported that local residents stopped their morning activities to run out from their houses.
Local office of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, reported that the quake struck 62 kilometer northwest of Lais district in North Bengkulu at 13 kilometer beneath the sea surface.
Last month, a 5.3-magnitude earthquake also jolted the province.
