Jakarta, Indonesia (News Today) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono stated his government's commitment to improve the welfare of Indonesian military and police. He mentioned that before a national military and police coordinating panel at Balai Samudra Indonesia building, here, on Friday.According to SBY, government is committed to raise salaries and remuneration of Indonesian military and police every year as a way to motivate them to reach achievement and strengthen flexure.
"This year is the sixth or seventh year I have not got a raise on my salary," said the president before high-ranking military and police officers.
SBY mentioned the raise on salaries and remuneration for military and police officers is not a rhetoric, false promise, or even a lie.
"Revive compulsary savings on housing. Set financial schemes that enable officers to buy decent houses in line with their incomes. I realize that they still can't afford to buy houses."
