SBY Opens IBBEX 2010

Jakarta, Indonesia (News Today) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono opened the Indonesia Business-BUMN Expo and Conference (IBBEX 2010) at the Jakarta Convention Center on Thursday. Accompanied by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, the head of state arrived at the Jakarta Convention Center at 10 am Thursday.

Also present at the IBBEX 2010 opening ceremony were Coordinating Minister for People’s Welfare Agung Laksono, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Coordinating Minister for Economy Hatta Rajasa, and State Enterprises Minister Mustafa Abubakar. President Yudhoyono on the occasion would deliver an opening address then strike a gong to mark the opening of the expo and seminar, with a number of state companies taking part.

Before President Yudhoyono delivers his opening address, State Enterprises Minister Mustafa Abubakar will report the activity surrounding the promotion of the state enterprises. IBBEX 2010 has two main agendas, namely the exhibition and conference in relation to state enterprises business activities.

The event is a follow-up of a similar occasion in 2007 to promote various products and services produced by businesses and state enterprises (BUMN). In addition, various working programs related to BUMN development would be discussed during the exhibition and conference, participated in by 66 state enterprises.
