Indonesian Govt Aims to Boost 2010 Subsidized Fuel Quota

Jakarta, Indonesia (News Today) - Indonesia's government is seeking parliamentary approval of a plan to raise the subsidized fuel consumption quota for 2010 to 39.2 million kiloliters due to increased domestic fuel demand, a government official said Thursday. The state budget currently stipulates a quota of 36.5 million kiloliters.

“The additional quota is possible, as long as it doesn't change the (value of) the fuel subsidy stated in the budget,“ said Evita Legowo, director general of oil and gas at the Mines and Energy Ministry. The government has set a crude oil price of $80 a barrel in the budget.
