Pertamina to Revise Its 2010 Capex

Jakarta, Indonesia (News Today) - State oil and gas company PT Pertamina is mulling to revise its 2010 capital expenditure (Capex) following low realization in the first semester.

"No, the realization has not (reached 50 percent), therefore, we will revise Capex, but the board of directors has not as yet submitted the figures," the company’s chief commissioner, Sugiharto, said on Sunday.

Pertamina has set the amount of Capex for this year at Rp44 trillion. Sugiharto said realization of Capex in the year to April reached Rp2.7 trillion. But he was optimistic realization of Capex in the second quarter would be larger than the previous one.

"To be sure, it will be larger than in the previous quarter because we have raised significantly our share holding in ONJW (Onshore North West Java) in two blocks," he said.
