Jakarta, Indonesia (News Today) - National Police Chief Gen. Bambang Hendarso Danuri denied spread rumours on his absence from office for the last three days.
"Some said I was mysteriouly missing, committing suicide, ... go ahead with the rumours. Let's remind that anything can happen to anyone on His decision," stated him at his welcome speech before the inauguration of nine high-ranking police officers at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Monday.
Bambang Hendarso Danuri said his absence at the inauguration previously scheduled last Friday was because of human constraints. He did not mention details on reason why his whereabout was mysteriouly unknown though.
His absence to inaugurate the officers last week triggered speculations in public. National Police mentioned he was summoned by the president. However, the palace denied the summon.
