(News Today) - National Development Planning Minister Armida Alisjahbana smiled when she was again asked by reporters on her possibility to take the position as finance minister left by Sri Mulyani. As usual she answered the question patiently at a press conference at her office in Jakarta on Monday.
"As I said just now, it's the president's prerogative. It's not my decision," said her who claimed she was asked the same question most of the time. However, according to her, the current position she has is relevant to minister position or as an assistant to president.
Therefore she must be ready if the president orders her to get the new position. Yet up to now one of Padjajaran University teaching professorships admitted that she has never been contacted by the president to get the position.
"In my opinion, the president is very wise to pick the right person with the right requirement to fill the vacant top position at the ministry."
