Jakarta, Indonesia (News Today) - Indonesia shares +0.9% at 2917.442 in moderate volume, led by foreign buying in bank, consumer related stocks amid hopes for strong 1H earnings, traders say; tip resistance at 2930.
“Overall sentiment, however, is cautious with many local investors cashing in gains ahead of the week end,“ says trader at Valbury Securities. Foreigners net buyers of IDR107 billion worth of local stocks so far.
Among gainers: Bank Mandiri (BMRI.JK) +2.5% at IDR6,000, car distributor Astra (ASII.JK) +2.8% at IDR47,950. Profit-taking hits tin miner Timah (TINS.JK) down 1.1% at IDR2,200.
