6 Richter Quake Jolted West Java and Caused Panic




Jakarta, (News Today) - An earthquake of 6 Richter jolted Sukabumi, West Java, at 6.58 p.m. local time, Tuesday. According to The Agency for Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics, the epicenter lied on 147 kilometers southeast of Sukabumi or 8,22 degrees of South Latitude and 107,21 degrees of East Longitude with 13 kilometer depth.

The quake with II Modified Mercally Intencity also jolted other areas such as Bandung, Tasikmalaya, and Jakarta. Residents of Tasikmalaya who panicked of the quake fled from their houses.
