Scandal Century : Another SBY campaign donor linked with Bank Century

(News Terupdate) - A member of the House of Representatives’ inquiry team on the Bank Century bailout claimed Thursday to have found another company suspected of having disbursed cash from the Rp 6.76 trillion (US$716 million) fund extended to salvage the bank.

"The company is identified as Rustan Consulting. After cross-checking the disbursement report from the Financial Report and Transaction Analysis Center (PPATK) with the data on presidential campaign donors, I found out that the same company donated Rp 500 million to SBY’s campaign team," Akbar Faisal from the People's Conscience Party (Hanura) said, referring to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Previously, the committee found that a company by the name of PT AJP had disbursed cash from Bank Century after the bailout. PT AJP also donated to Yudhoyono's campaign.

The committee has been assigned to investigate the Bank Century bailout, the amount of which increased tenfold from its original estimate, to Rp 6.76 trillion (US$716 million).
